Your place in the programme
These briefs explain how each contribution can support CJE’s overall success. They are invitations to explore an agreed role, not automatic appointments or editorial grants.
Everyone is welcome to propose a contribution. Only a representative explicitly approved by the Merchant may control wording and imagery in an assigned CJE section. An enquiry, stakeholder role or expression of interest gives no editorial access. CJE retains publication control; permissions for official statements, brands and imagery still apply.
A named session, a deliverable recording and a rights-cleared handover—not an undefined content promise.
Possible commissions
- Writing and recording sessions with defined participants, hours and output.
- Live multitrack capture and performance-film production.
- Music-video or artist-story production with approved treatments.
- Destination filming with location, environmental and participant permissions.
- Editing, mastering, captions, broadcast quality control and delivery versions.
The quote must describe the output
Include personnel, equipment, studio hours, overtime, revisions, file formats, stems, backups, delivery dates, taxes and the treatment of raw footage. Specify who clears compositions, samples, performers, locations and third-party materials.
Ownership and AI
Agree composition splits separately from master ownership, production fees and video rights. No synthetic voice, likeness substitution, model training or AI-generated representation of an artist without separate informed permission. Tools must support the artist’s work rather than obscure credits or authorship.
Delivery and retention
Name the release owner and approve the transfer of files. Keep backups for the agreed period and delete or return restricted source material as contracted. A completed session needs an accepted delivery record, not just behind-the-scenes photographs.
