CaribVision broadcast partnership — detailed guide

Part of Caribbean Jazz Expo

Your place in the programme

These briefs explain how each contribution can support CJE’s overall success. They are invitations to explore an agreed role, not automatic appointments or editorial grants.

Everyone is welcome to propose a contribution. Only a representative explicitly approved by the Merchant may control wording and imagery in an assigned CJE section. An enquiry, stakeholder role or expression of interest gives no editorial access. CJE retains publication control; permissions for official statements, brands and imagery still apply.

A proposed programme with a clear editorial identity, deliverable production and a transparent airtime model.

The programme concept

Show Caribbean artists creating in Dominica: a credible live performance, the artist’s story, collaborative work and carefully selected destination context. Television offers a programmed editorial setting alongside artist-owned digital material. We do not claim guaranteed credibility or reach merely because content appears on television.

The broadcaster conversation

  • Confirm whether the appropriate route is commissioned content, licensed programming, sponsored programming or purchased airtime.
  • Obtain the delivery specification, durations, scheduling options, territories, permitted digital use and current rate card.
  • Agree editorial approval, advertising disclosure, sponsor placement, accessibility and any repeat-broadcast rights.
  • Define the distinction between a paid transmission, an editorial feature and an independently earned media appearance.

The proposed deliverable

  • A rights-cleared performance programme or magazine-format pilot with accurate artist and production credits.
  • Broadcast-ready picture, sound, captions and quality control to the broadcaster’s specification.
  • Music, performer, location and image permissions, plus appropriate cue sheets and licence records.
  • An agreed delivery and approval calendar with a named producer.
  • Airing evidence and broadcaster-supplied audience information where available; no invented household or viewer totals.

Economics and participant transparency

Airtime is quote-required. If an artist package includes funded airtime, its length, channel, intended schedule, territories, conditions and remedies must be stated in the agreement. If sponsorship pays for airtime, the same cost must not also be charged to the artist. Production, airtime, rights, digital versions and any broadcaster share are separate budget lines.

Current status

CaribVision is a proposed distribution and exposure partner. No carriage agreement, booking, rate, audience guarantee or transmission date is asserted by this brief. No logo or claim of broadcaster endorsement is authorised by the proposal.
